WW2 GERMAN LUFTWAFFE GROUND COMBAT MEDAL AGED VERSION

This is a reproduction Luftwaffe Ground Combat medal and has an aged finish.

Awarded to all Luftwaffe soldiers who distinguished themselves in ground combat with 3 separate actions.

First established by Hermann Goring in March, 1942.   When this Ground Combat badge was introduced Luftwaffe personnel who had already been awarded with either the Infantry Assault Badge, the Panzer Assault Badge, the General Assault Badge or the Flak War Badge were all required to hand those badges in and exchange them for the Ground Combat Badge instead.

The badge is made of high quality tin alloy and is made as close to original as possible.
