Original Canadian WWII Brodie Mark II helmet. Manufactured by C.L./C. Canadian Lamp Co. of Canada in 1942. Complete with liner and chin strap.
Comes complete with C broad arrow marked chin strap. Faint marking
The MKII helmet is marked inside rim “1942 C.L./C. 87”.
“87” is the batch number.

Regimental Numbers: In the Second World War every Canadian unit was assigned blocks of numbers, prefixed by a letter indicating he Military Districk i Canada in which the unit was based. There are 11 military districts in Canada, numbered from 1-13 (wiout 8 or 9) and Regimental numbers were prefixed with letters A to M. The letter L, as seen on this helmet, was from the Province of Saskatchewan.
