WHW DONATION LUFTWAFFE FLAG PIN

WHW Donation pin depicting a german Luftwaffe flag. On the reverse of the flag it reads SU-17 and “Luftnachrichtentruppe” which translate to Air news force.The pin is composed of plastic with a metal bobby pin. 

The WHW, "Winterhilfswerk" (Winter-help-work), was an annual charitable donation event held by the "NS-Volkswohlfahrt" (National Socialist - Peoples'-welfare) in which personnel from all of the NSDAP organizations would solicit donations from the public, and reward contributors with a wide variety of lapel badges or propaganda booklets.

The organization would go door to door selling these pins for one or two pfennig.
