This is an original M1971 West German airborne/paratrooper helmet made of steel with a green finish. The shape of the M71 was influenced by the US M1 helmet, this is the Bundeswehr Airborne/Paratroop version with extensive liner and 4 point strap attachment. Unmarked.
Size is 61 liner.
This would be the last version of steel helmet before moving to the PASGT Kevlar type.
