Adolf Hitler painted this watercolor, entitled The Courtyard of the Old Residency in Munich, in 1914. Adolf Hitler the struggling young artist produced about 2,000 paintings between 1905 – 1920.
This painting represents the fifth water color of the Alter Hof in Munich and most likely given by Hitler to his many guests at the Lowenbraukeller beer hall. An important historical example representing Adolf Hitler's time in Munich prior to his rise to power.
