US WW2 Airborne Paratrooper Signal Cricket Clicker 101st Airborne and 82nd Airborne Division  

This is the Reproduction of the cricket which was used by the Americans on the nights of the 5^th and 6^th D-Day June, 1944 in the American Airborne landing zones by the 101st Airborne Division and 82^nd Airborne Division  

It was originally known as the 'No.470 clicker' by manufacturers J Hudson and Co Ltd from Birmingham in England, but was soon called the "cricket" by airborne paratroopers.

High quality reproduction of the American cricket or Clicker, used during the invasion of Normandy. 

The “click-clack” of the cricket helped the soldiers of the 101^st Airborne Division communicate with each other without alerting the German troops. Used for communication to distinguish friend from foe. When approaching an unknown person, one click would be made using the tool and friendly troops would respond with two clicks.
