GERMAN WWI MODEL 17 GAS MASK, CAN AND FILTER

This German Model 17 sheepskin gas mask was made in 1917 in Germany.

Mask is still very soft, and all straps are intact and functional.

Also comes with the metal gas mask can.  The can is maker marked and dated but we can not make it out other than the 1917 date. 

Received from the Royal Winnipeg Rifles Museum, Canada.  The museum was selling off some of there museum’s items, to make room for more.  The museum called it deaccessioning surplus museum artifacts.

The museum numbers their items for inventory purposes and you will see that there is a very small white numbered sticker on this item put there by the museum.  They are very easy to remove.
