GERMAN WWI 1914-1918 HONOUR CROSS ON CHAIN (BIKER CHAIN)

This is a a German WWII original 1914-1918 Honour Cross also known as the Hindenburg Cross with an attached biker chain.  

Well if you are looking at the photos and saying wow, that looks like something out of “Sons of Anarchy” you might be right.

This Honour Cross/Hindenburg Cross is original.  With maker mark on the back W & L, M. for maker: Rudolf Wachtler & Lange, Mittweida, Germany.

The chain is not original, but we are leaving it in place for originality. Very cool example, and as they say, “if only these things could talk".

The German 1914-1918 Honour Cross or more commonly known as the Hindenburg Cross is awarded to the German/Austrian people who fought during the First World War. This would be awarded to a veteran soldier who participated. This award would also be given out to the next of kin if the soldier was killed during the First World War.
