WAFFEN SS M42 HELMET WITH LINER AND CHIN STRAP

This is an original M42 helmet shell with original untouched paint and the original liner and chin strap.  Comes with two decals, that were added later and are reproduction.

Helmet shell marked CKL 66 5164 and liner marked 58.  This liner is original and looks like it was adapted or repaired to fit a smaller liner into the larger sized 66 shell. 

The chin strap is original also but is damaged.

The M42 Helmet was designed by the German army in 1942 as a result of wartime demands. The rolled edge on the shell was eliminated to expedite the manufacturing process and reduced the amount of metal used in each helmet.

The reproduction SS decals are high quality and include a SS runes and party shield.
