CANADIAN WW2 P37 WEBBING BRACE ATTACHMENTS
CANADIAN WWII P37 BRACE ATTACHEMENTS - ORIGINAL
These are original Canadian WW2 P37 webbing brace attachments. These brace attachments were used to connect the braces to the belt when pouches or cartridge carriers were not being worn.
Many of these brace attachments are maker marked and/or dated or have the Canadian Broad Arrow mark. Unfortunately, you will not be able to select which brace you receive. You will receive one pair of brace attachments.
Many differences were made between the British ad Canadian 1937 pattern webbing of which the brace attachment was the most distinctive. Brace attachments were used in place of basic pouches or cartridge carriers and usually consisted of a square brass buckle with a separate, moving central rod, known as a “gate buckle”. The Canadians decided to simplify the manufacture of this piece by substituting a single piece of stamped brass that fulfilled the same task but was much quicker and easier to manufacture.
We have two types of these attachments as shown in the images. Type A and Type B. You will need to select the type you prefer when ordering.
