AMERICAN M3 FIGHTING TRENCH KNIFE AND M6 LEATHER SHEATH

I bought this M3 Fighting knife with the M6 leather sheath in France recently .

I thought it might be original so I took a chance on it.

On further research I have come to the conclusion it is a very old reproduction of some kind .

It looks very old to me .

Still great for display . Cheaper then paying $1,000 ‘s for a original one

The M3 Fighting knife, was also known as the M-3 Trench Knife or Camillus. The knife has a steel blade and the handle is made from stacked leather washers with 8 grooves. 

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

• 6 3/4 carbon steel blade (11 1/2 overall length)
  Black phosphate coated blade, butt, guard and blood groove
  Brown stacked leather washer handle
